System Safety Society

20th International System Safety Conference

"Scaling New Heights in System Safety"

August 5-9, 2002

Denver, Colorado, USA

Hosted by the System Safety Society

Radisson Hotel Is Nearly Full (July 26, 2002)!

The Radisson Hotel is full on Wednesday and Thursday nights. But don't worry, we have reached an agreement with the nearby Doubletree Denver Southeast, and they will offer the same rate as you would have received at the Radisson. We recommend you call the Radisson first, to see if they are still full on Wednesday and Thursday. You never know, there might be cancellations, and you can get in. If not, they will refer you to the Doubletree, and a shuttle van will be offered between the two hotels during the course of the week. While we are sorry for the inconvenience, we are also heartened to know so many people are coming.

Technical Program Available Here (July 8, 2002)!

The Technical Program (1.9 Mb!, it's a big one) is now available. This is the program that we have sent to the printer. You can download it here, and map out your session attendance plans. You can also learn about our special events and guest speakers.

Golf Tournament Scheduled

Need a reason to get to Denver early? How about Golf! We have scheduled a golf tournament for Sunday, August 4, 2002. Tee time is 1:06 PM. You can catch the early flight from the east coast and still make it for the game. We'll be playing at Meadow Hills, a beautiful course less than 2 miles from the Radisson Hotel. Fill out the Registration Form, mail it back, and we'll see you there. You'll have a great time. Hurry, the sign updeadline is July 17.

Welcome

We are going back to where it all started. The first International System Safety Conference was held in Denver, in 1973. A lot has changed since then, and then again, a lot that we have learned in System Safety has weathered the test of time and technology. Join us in Denver to explore how industry leaders are applying the techniques of system safety to today's challenges, brush up on some rusty skills, or get practical training in the fundementals of system safety. There is something for everyone.

Introduction to the Conference

The 20th International System Safety Conference is hosted by the System Safety Society. This annual conference draws system safety and risk analysis professionals from all over the world for a week of presentations, tutorials, discussions and debates on relavent topics. Guests from the United States, Canada, Sweden, United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Israel, Germany and other countries represent industries as diverse as semiconductors, energy, aviation, auto, defense systems, environmental, software, and marine safety. For more information, have a look at the links at the left side.

Companies Wishing to be Conference Sponsors

Whether looking to hire or get product literature to a focused group of system safety professionals, conference sponsorship is an excellent way to get noticed. Benefits of conference sponsorship include free and discounted registration for individuals, an exhibitor booth, free advertising in the conference proceedings and program, plus your company logo will be prominently displayed on the covers of the proceedings and program, and on the conference website (with a hyperlink). We will also include your product literature or samples in our registration packages. For more details, go to Conference Sponsorship.

Companies Wishing to be Exhibitors

Meet system safety professionals face to face by being an exhibitor at the conference. Being an exhibitor is a great way to bring your technical products directly to the users, or perhaps do some recruiting, or even "show-off" your comittment to safety for a customer.
