Past Conferences From a historical perspective, it should be noted that the first System Safety Conference ever held was in Seattle on June 8-9, 1965. It was a joint effort of the Boeing Company and the University of Washington, with about 300 attendees from industry, the military and academia. The proceedings are maintained in the University of Washington library.
