
There are two meeting opportunities coming up that
I wanted to pass along to you.
1. The FLSSS co-sponsoring a meeting with the HFES
on 14 Sep. See below for details. There is also an announcement
attached.
2. The Cape Canaveral Chapter of ASSE has
a meeting coming up on 6 Sep that may be of interest. Lt. Col. John
Humphries, Chief of Range System Safety Engineering will discuss on-going
Range Safety programs and policies, as well as the future developments.

Also, don't forget the International System Safety
Conference is upcoming in Ft. Worth, Texas. Hopefully, some of you
will be there.

The School Board of Brevard County is advertising
for a Safety Officer
position. Basic qualifications include a
B.S. degree in engineering,
architecture, building construction, business or
public administration.
Minimum of five years experience as a safety professional
in a large
industrial complex required. CSP preferred.
Pay range is $38K - 45.6K
annually.

SSS Success Stories - The society just completed another successful ISSC.....There are two new chapters.......international interest continues to rise.......and more!
The FLSSS was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation on September 15, 1998, by the SSS's New Chapter Formation and Enhancement Director, Ellen Overton. This is to commend us for successfully maintaining our chapter and adding to the advancement of the SSS.
