The closest airport is Vancouver International Airport which is about 20 minutes driving time from the conference hotel. One-way taxi fare is approximately $25. There is an airport bus to downtown Vancouver.

Alternatively, you could fly to Sea-Tac Airport south of Seattle or Bellingham Airport which is just south of the US-Canada border. Driving time to Vancouver from Sea-Tac is approximately 3.5 hours not including delays at the US-Canada border. There is scheduled coach transportation from both Sea-Tac and Bellingham airports.

For the more adventurous, consider combining your trip with a tour of the Canadian Rocky Mountains by flying into or out of Calgary, Alberta. A leisurely drive between Calgary and Vancouver requires 2 days. Another possibility is taking a rail tour between Calgary and Vancouver on the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer.
