There are lots of tutorials planned for both Monday and Friday. So as not to miss any, plan to arrive in Vancouver on Sunday (or earlier) and/or depart the following Saturday (or later). Click here to download a PDF file with more information.
Participation in tutorials is now included with conference registration (including one-day registrations and student registrations) with no additional fees. Separate registration in tutorials is no longer required. If the tutorial presenter has prepared handouts, copies of these handouts will be available for a nominal charge (approximately the cost of photocopying and finishing, e.g., $10 for a 100-page handout). These handouts may be purchased at the conference by cash only at the registration desk. Tutorial handouts will only be available in limited quantities.
To help us accurately estimate the number of handouts, please send an email to handouts "at" issc08.org with a brief email indicating which tutorials you plan to attend and whether you are likely to purchase a handout, if handouts are available. If you wish to have a copy of the tutorial handouts, we suggest that you check with the reservation desk on the day prior to the tutorial, e.g., for Monday tutorials, please check at the reservation desk on Sunday. We anticipate that the registration desk will be open on Sunday afternoon until approximately 5pm, and then again Sunday evening from 8pm to 9pm. If you previously registered for a tutorial, you will be contacted within the next few weeks regarding a refund of tutorial registration fees that have been paid.
