 One of the major learning experiences offered by
the System Safety Society is its annual International System Safety Conference. Each year, the world’s best system safety practitioners
gather to share knowledge and experience in systems analysis. What an opportunity! The Conference offers a week of technical sessions,
tutorials, workshops, special events, social events and luncheons, culminating in the Society’s Awards Banquet. The Conference is an
excellent opportunity to network with peers and learn from the profession’s best.
Growing up in Tennessee, I remember an expression that my father often used about wasted opportunities. He said, “You can lead a horse to water,
but you can’t make him drink.” Don’t let the opportunity to attend the premier system safety learning experience pass by without drinking from its fountain of knowledge.
This year’s Conference is being held in beautiful San Diego, California. The planning committee, led by Perry D’Antonio, has worked hard to make this the
best Conference ever. I’m sure you’ll agree that the Conference is truly an added value to your Society membership.
