Mr.
Michael B. (Mike) Moore Chief,
Installation Safety US
Army Garrison, Redstone Arsenal On
1 June 2006, Mr. Moore was assigned as the Chief, Installation Safety Office,
Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. His team is responsible for providing safety and
occupational health support to soldiers, civilians, and contractors from over
130 tenant organizations located on and off the Arsenal. Prior to his current
assignment, he was the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command Safety
Manager and Ground Safety Officer for missile operations at the Ronald Reagan
Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, Republic of the Marshall Islands. Mr.
Moore participated in the NASA EQUIS II campaign, SpaceX commercial launch
venture, and supported the Missile Defense Agency in Integrated Flight Test
programs. Mr. Moore began his civil service career in 1997. He worked as a
member of the Base Realignment and Closure Transition Team at the former Fort
McClellan, Alabama. He was responsible for worker and public safety on a $93M
cleanup project of conventional and chemical warfare munitions and
radiological material and was a safety liaison between federal, state, and
local agencies. He was also employed as a government contractor and trainer
with Orion Corporation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and helped train the
Saudi Armed Forces in Jeddah during the First Gulf War. Mr. Moore is a former
US Army soldier commissioned in the field artillery and has held positions of
increased responsibility throughout his military service. Mr. Moore received
a BA in Psychological Studies from the University of San Francisco, a MS in
Personnel and Business from Jacksonville State University and a Masters
Degree in Safety and Occupational Health, Columbia Southern University. He is
a graduate of the Army Management Staff College and is currently a
participant in the US Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Mentoring
Program for 2007. |
